Somehow, it's already the last week of January! I have no idea where this month as gone!?! With possible inclement weather tonight/tomorrow, keep an eye out for possible changes to our learning on Tuesday. If we are in person, awesome! If not, we'll see everyone online at 8:30 and 10:30 for our video calls!
As a reminder, if your student is absent, we will still be updating the 6th grade website daily, as well as providing any necessary videos (should be posted by 3:30 pm at the latest). In science today, we continued working on our Water Cycle unit! Students should have completed all five steps of the Lesson 1: The Solve Live Video assignment, where they looked at pollution and how that can impact a lake and the water cycle. We will continue to work on this unit next Monday. In math this week, we will be finishing our work with chapter 3. On Tuesday, we will be completed a review packet in preparation for our test on Wednesday. Thursday will be spent starting the first lesson of chapter 4 (variables and ratios), with a short dividing review on Friday. At this time, students will have homework on Tuesday (study, finish all late work/Khan Academy) and Thursday (4.1.1 Review Preview). If we end up being remote tomorrow, we will do a different review activity on Tuesday, push the review packet and test to Wednesday/Thursday, push the start of chapter 4 to next week, and keep the division review on Friday. Assignments will still be posted digitally through Google classroom (and the 6th grade website), so look there first if you have any questions! Thank you for always being flexible! Thank you for your continued support! Have a fantastic week! Ms Kennell
