I hope everyone was able to enjoy the beautiful weather we had yesterday! This week looks like it's going to be a warm one, so get outside and enjoy the sunshine!
This week is Read Week, and our theme is Paws for Books! Each day has a theme and/or dress up activities, so check with your student! Students should also be recording how much time they spend reading each day. In math this week, we are finishing up absolute value (homework assignment tonight) and beginning to work with graphing. Students with missing work received updated lists on Friday, and all grades are updated except for what was turned in on Friday or today. After we finish graphing, we will be ready for a test over rational numbers, which will be taking place in the next couple of weeks. In social studies, we are taking a break from a new map this week to review our old maps and review latitude and longitude. Students will have a worksheet to do for homework tonight. We will also be finishing up the Roman Republic and beginning to discuss the transition from republic to empire. In spelling, we have had to make a few adjustments to our new schedule, so spelling tests have been pushed back about a week. Students will be getting their adjusted schedules tomorrow morning.
