It's a short week thanks to Thanksgiving break, but also a strange one since we are entering our first district wide remote days. You should have received a variety of messages by this point, but please reach out if you have questions. As a reminder, the 6th grade website is the best place to look for daily directions, reminders, and updates about learning! This is also where your student should start each day that we are remote.
While we are all remote right now, students should be attending their scheduled Google meets starting on Tuesday (8:30-9:30, 9:45-10:15, 10:30-11:30, and 2:00-2:30) as well completing additional school work outside of the meet times. Everything is listed on the 6th Grade Google Site each day, including directions and meet links. There will NEVER be a day where students do not have any assigned work. If your student has missed time before our remote days, talk with them about their work and getting caught back up. This week in math, we are doing some review and also taking our chapter 3 math test. On Monday, students will complete 2 of the math activities from the emergency remote packet, as well as play one of the games. On Tuesday during our meet, students will take their chapter 3 math test. After completing their test, they also have a coordinate graphing mystery picture to complete, along with a place to submit a picture of their work. We will start working on chapter 4 next week, which focuses on variables and ratios! At the end of this post, there will be a list of the homework that is expected to be completed throughout the week. Check it out! You can see an updated list of missing work on Skyward. You can also see a day by day breakdown of classwork and homework on the 6th grade Google site! This week in science, we'll be taking a short break from Mosa Mack and working on the activities in the emergency remote packet. On Monday, they should read the article about the Slip 'N Slide and answer the questions. On Tuesday, they will be creating their own invention to make their lives easier! This should all be on paper from the packet. Math/Science classwork/homework this week:
