How is it possible??? Time is flying this quarter, as the year starts to wrap up! Midterms for Quarter 4 will be coming home on Friday, with projects and field trips coming quickly! Signed field trip forms and $11 are due May 4, and students can begin signing up for a group this week!
This week in math, we are continuing to work on expressions, learning how to write expressions for area and perimeter using algebra tiles, and using the concept of combining like terms to generate equivalent expressions. Students will have homework on Tuesday (6.2.2 Review Preview) and Thursday (6.2.3 Review Preview). In social studies, we are continuing our unit on world religions by starting a study on Hinduism, which will take us a couple weeks. Students will be making connections between how religion impacts our lives here in 21st century United States and how it impacts life in India. This lesson also contains some new vocabulary words that we will learn to help us better understand Hinduism. In spelling, students received a new schedule this week and are working on learning their new words. We will have spelling tests starting late next week, with one more spelling list following this one. As always, if you have any questions or concerns about something coming up, please let me know!
