Happy March! Even though the weather is trying to trick us, we are getting closer to spring!
Students will need headphones that work, both for social studies and testing next week. Please ask your student if they have headphones/earbuds that work! Thank you! As a reminder, please continue to check in with your student about their chromebook, homework/absent work, Classcraft, and if they have gotten any behavior referrals that need to be signed (or detentions to be served). In math this week, we are starting a new unit on ratios, rates, and percents, with a focus on percents first. Our number talks are all about common fractions, decimals, and percents as well. We will also be having Too Good for Drugs on Wednesday. This week, we will also take a look at our new state testing (IAR instead of PARCC) and practice playing with the features. Students will have homework on Thursday (3.1.2 Review Preview). In social studies, we are continuing the work we started last week with our end of Egypt unit hyperdoc! Students may need to work on this some at home, especially if they struggle to focus at school, leave their chromebook at home, or if they are absent. We will start introducing the create project options either the end of this week or beginning of next. In spelling, we are starting new lists this week. Students should be working on the activities on their tic tac toe boards, which are due next Friday. We will also be taking our tests next Friday. Upcoming dates:
