Oh my goodness! Where has this school year gone!?!? I have trouble believing it is already the final week of November. This final push until Christmas can be challenging for many (students and teachers alike!), but we will still be working very hard for the final few weeks of the 2nd Quarter!
In math, we began our next unit today... Ratios, Rates, and Percents! As a reminder, students can use CPM's homework help website to assist with homework problems at home. Students should also be bringing home their composition notebook to reference. Any missing work/absent work/corrections from before our test also needs to be turned in by the beginning of next week in order to be counted for a grade. In social studies, we started Ancient Egypt today! We will be learning about how the ancient civilization began, why is was a good place for a civilization to grow, what some of their inventions/discoveries were, and some important people/events from the time period. This should take us through the majority of the month before Christmas. In spelling, we are continuing to work on the spelling lists from last week, with our practice and comfort with the words growing daily! Spelling tests will begin next week for groups.
