We are in the final coutdown for the quarter! This is the final week before Christmas break and the final week of quarter 2. Let's finish strong!! As a reminder, the 6th grade website is the best place to look for daily directions, reminders, and updates about learning! This is also where your student should start each day that we are remote or when they are absent for any reason.
This week in math, we are finishing chapter 4! On Monday, students will be completing the 4.2.3 and 4.2.4 Review Preview packet (or Jamboard if remote). Tuesday, we will have a special guest with us - Janet Moore from the Regional Office of Education! She'll be co-teaching some activities with Ms Kennell, which will either be over topics we've already covered or topics that are upcoming! Wednesday will be spent reviewing for our math test with the completion of the Ch 4 Review Packet (on paper or online if remote). Then on Thursday, we will be taking our chapter 4 math test. If students are remote, they are expected to be on a Google meet during their class time while taking the test (6K @ 9:30 and 6B @ 12:40). On Friday, we'll be doing some special activities! At the end of this post, there will be a list of the homework that is expected to be completed throughout the week. Check it out! You can see an updated list of missing work on Skyward. You can also see a day by day breakdown of classwork and homework on the 6th grade Google site! This week in science, we'll be continuing our unit on genetic variations! In the second lesson (Lesson 1: Solve Phenomenon), we'll looking at celebrity families and identifying characteristics that are passed from one generation to the next. We'll even be trying to match children to their parents! We will finish this entire lesson this week before we leave for break. Math/Science classwork/homework this week:
